Makipa watajika kukosa mechi muhimu

MAKIPA watatu wa haiba kubwa hawatakuwa sehemu ya mechi ya kirafiki itakayowakutanisha Harambee Stars ya Kenya na Chipolopolo ya Zambia uwanjani Nyayo, Nairobi mnamo Oktoba 13, 2020.

Mlinda-lango veterani Kenndey Mweene wa Zambia amemtaka kocha Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic kumwondoa kwenye kikosi atakachokitegemea dhidi ya Kenya.

Kwa mujibu wa gazeti la Daily Mail nchini Zambia, Mweene amesema kwamba hayuko tayari kuwajibikia Chipolopolo kwa sasa hadi wakati ambapo Shirikisho la Soka la Zambia (FAZ) “litakaponyosha mambo na kudhihirisha kwamba linajali maslahi ya wachezaji.”

Katika nafasi ya Mweene, kocha wa makipa wa Chipolopolo, Miroslav Stojnic amewaita kambini walinda-lango Jackson Kakunta, Lameck Siame, Sebastian Mwange na Richard Nyirenda.

“Nina tajriba ya zaidi ya miaka 25 nikifanya kazi na makipa. Kwa sasa nalenga kuwapa nafasi walinda-lango chipukizi na ninasihi utulivu udumu kikosini,” akasema Stojnic.

Mweene, 35, amejivunia ufanisi mkubwa ndani ya jezi za Chipolopolo kwa miaka 16 sasa. Kilele cha mafanikio yake kambini mwa Zambia ni pale alipowaongoza kutwaa ubingwa wa Kombe la Afrika (AFCON) 2012 nchini Gabon. Hadi kufikia sasa, kipa huyo wa Mamelodi Sundowns amechezea Zambia mara 121 na kufunga mabao mawili.

Kwa upande wake, kocha Francis Kimanzi wa Harambee amewatema makipa Patrick Matasi na Farouk Shikalo katika kikosi chake cha wanasoka 34 ambao amewaita kambini mwa minajili ya vibarua vinne vijavyo.

Arnold Origi, 36, anayechezea sasa HIFK ya Finlad ameitwa upya kambini baada ya kuwa nje kwa miaka mitano. Kipa Ian Otieno anayechezea Red Arrows ya Zambia na Timothy Odhiambo wa Ulinzi Stars wameteuliwa na Kimanzi kujaza nafasi za Matasi na Shikhalo.

Mechi za kirafiki zitakazopigwa na Stars dhidi ya Zambia na Sudan zitachezewa ndani ya uwanja mtupu bila mashabiki ili kudhibiti maambukizi ya virusi vya corona.
